Your First Sunday

Here's exactly what will happen.

We know walking into a church for the first time can feel like a lot. So here's the honest, no-surprises version of what a Sunday at Northview looks like.

  • Park and walk in

Parking is free and easy. A greeter will welcome you at the door — no sign-in sheet, no name tag unless you want one. Just a warm hello.

  • Find a seat

Sit wherever you're comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual — you'll see jeans and t-shirts alongside Sunday best. Both are welcome.

  • Worship together

We open with congregational singing — a mix of classic hymns and contemporary worship. Sing along, listen, or just take it in. There's no wrong way.

  • The Lord's Supper

We celebrate communion every Sunday as a congregation. If you're a follower of Jesus, you're welcome to participate. If you're still exploring, it's perfectly fine to observe — no pressure, no explanation needed.

  • A message from Scripture

Our lead minister Jeff Bream teaches from the Bible — practical, honest, and rooted in the text. No performance, no hype. Just the Word and what it means for your life today.

  • Stay and say hello

After the service, stick around. People genuinely want to meet you. And if you'd rather slip out quietly — that's okay too. We'll still be glad you came.

Finding Your Way to God

You don't have to have faith figured out to walk through our doors. Whether you're brand new, returning after years away, or wrestling with hard questions — there's a place for you here.

Just Curious

You're not sure what you believe, and that's okay. Northview is a safe place to ask the big questions — about God, about Jesus, about whether any of this is real. Nobody here has it all figured out either. Come and wonder with us.

Coming Back

Life pulls us away. Distance grows. But if something is drawing you back toward God, that pull is worth following. We won't ask where you've been — only welcome you home. Jesus' story is full of people finding their way back, and so is ours.

Ready for a Next Step

If you feel the pull to make things right with God — to be forgiven, to start fresh — we're ready to walk with you. Whether that's a conversation, baptism, or simply showing up this Sunday, every step forward matters.

First-Timer Questions

We've heard these before.

Whatever you're comfortable in. You'll see everything from jeans and t-shirts to button-downs. There is no dress code at Northview — come as you are.

Not at all. We celebrate the Lord's Supper every Sunday and welcome all Christians to participate. If you're still exploring faith, feel free to observe — no one will notice or mind, and no explanation is needed.

Preschool-age children are welcome to stay with you or be released to our Wee Ones Room for age-appropriate care and learning during the service. Older children typically stay in the worship service with their family.

Never. We know visiting a church for the first time can feel vulnerable. You won't be asked to stand up, introduce yourself, or do anything you're not comfortable with. You're free to observe and take everything in.

No. An offering is collected during the service — you're welcome to participate whenever you feel it's right, and equally welcome to let it pass. There is no expectation for first-time visitors.

Absolutely. Northview is a place for questions, doubt, and honest searching — not just people who have everything figured out. We'd rather have you in the room with your questions than outside without any answers.

Yes — to everyone, any day of the year. You don't need to be a church member or attend a service. Just come and walk. It's a free, quiet outdoor space open to all of Branch County.

Still have a question we didn't answer?
